In USPPW history, almost one hundred different tag teams have at one time held the gold, World Champions, King of the Rings
and Rumble winners have all held the belts before, but nobody has captured the imagination of the fans as much as Matt and
Jeff Hardy! Two brothers who dreamed of one day competing together against the very best in the world, and one day hoping
to tase gold, not only achieved that dream but surpassed anything anybody could ever imagine! 12 time tag team champions,
The Hardy Boyz, dubbed Team Extreme, are one of few tag teams that can be described as unique! Starting out tag team life
in an age where big guys ruled, Matt and Jeff were overlooked time and time again by wrestling promotions around the world!
In an era where LOD, The Godwins and The Headbangers were king of the tag team division, The Hardyz were starting to catch
the eye of fans around the globe. Their break through came with a chance meeting with Jim Ross who offered The Hardyz a try
out which sky rocketted them to fame in a huge way. In their debut year the Hardyz not only changed tag team wrestling but
began to dominate it, fueding successfully with The New Age Outlaws and The Brood! Tag team wrestling became a hot commoditity
and there was a struggle for dominance between Team Exterme, The Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian! Memorable matches after
memorable matches took place between those three teams culminating in a huge TLC Match at Wrestlefest 16! Team Extreme created
huge moments in that mathes but it was Edge and Christian who left with the gold. The Hardyz would gain and drop possession
the gold over a two year period five times, but as 2002 ended so did their unity! The brothers began to argue and it lead
to an amazing fued between the two! It had looked like the team would be left in the achieves of USPPW but at Awakening The
Hardyz reunited, and not only that they became 12 time tag team champions with a victory over old rivals The Dudley Boyz!
Now with possession of the gold again, and new teams waiting to take them on, will Team Extreme carry on where they left the
tag team division?!?
